I needed a retirement card for a co-worker. I knew immediately that I had to make this card with Chris's retirement file. You can find it here. It cut like a dream! And my co-worker loved it. Thanks, Chris!

Aren't Chris's files great? I made these two thank you cards with Chris's files. The Thanks is from her Thankful Titles 2 file. You can find that file here. The sun is from her Lazy Summer file which was a part of her Quarterly Membership Club. I inked the edges of the suns with an orange ink. Then I used black ink on the edges of the patterned paper. Instant Thank you Cards!

I just love using Chris Durnan's files on my recipe pages. For this recipe, I used her file, Chili Pepper. You can find it here. I cut the star off the top of it. I also cut the peppers in half, down the middle and placed it on the edge of the page. I'll use the other half of the peppers on another recipe card later.

Graduation Cards with Chris Durnan's files

Here are two graduation cards I made with Chris's Graduation borders. These are two of the borders she included in May's Grab Bag. You can find the Grab Bag here. I sized each page border down and layered it on top of a graduation themed piece of paper, matted on black. I also cut a small graduation cap out of black and placed it on each corner. I searched high and low for tiny tassels, but I couldn't find what I wanted. Next time I need a graduation card, I'm going to make my own tassel out of embroidery floss, but I need to start working on them more than a week before I need them. LOLAS!

Chris made some darling football themed cupcake wrappers for her Quarterly Membership Club. I used one to layer on top of the G for the title for this layout about our Super Bowl munchies. You can find Chris and all her fabulous cutter files here. I just love how versatile her files are!

Here's a thank you card with another of Chris's great files. You can find the cutter file here. I cut it once in green, then again in red. I cut the thank you out of the red and layered it on the green. So quick, so easy, yet I love the look.

Card with Chris Durnan's Love Bird Card Set file

This lovely file is part of Chris's Quarterly Membership Club files. The QMC is still available in Chris's store. You can find the membership here. I used the gatecard option with this file. I inked the base card with pink before attaching the Love Birds. I used a rubber stamp to stamp the love definition on the heart, then inked it with purple to make it stand out a little. Another beautiful file from Chris!

Two new projects for Christmas! with Chris Durnan's files

I wanted a way to dress up a gift card so I thought why not make an explosion box? So I made the box, but it was a little plain. Chris's Santa from her QMC was the perfect addition to spruce up the box. I loved him on the card, but he's even cuter in miniature on the top of the box.

The other project uses Chris's Winter Cupcake Wrappers. That file collection can be found here. This set includes four great wrappers. I cut the tree wrapper and backed the trees with green. I rolled up a pair of fuzzy socks and fastened them with a rubber band. To make it look more like a cupcake, I put a small pompom on the top.

Christmas Card with Chris's file

I just loved this snowman that is part of Chris's QMC. I cut him and layered him on a white decorative mat with inked edges. Then I put him on a gate fold card. i used a rubber stamp to stamp a greeting inside the card. I just love how cute he is! As always, you can find Chris here. And as I've said before, the QMC is such a steal!

In September, hubby and I had the chance to ride the Trail of Tears, ending up at the Trail of Tears rally in Florence, AL. We took some pictures along the way, and at the park. I thought Chris's file - Native American collection - would be perfect. You can find it here. I cut the head out of gray cardstock and layered the title on the edge of it. Each corner has an embellishment, one is a brave on a horse and the other is an ax. I'm sorry the picture quality isn't better, but I lost my good camera, and this one doesn't have a macro setting on it.

I made this recipe page with Chris's Silverware Jumble file. You can find it here. I put a piece of patterned paper (grill utensils) over the base cardstock and then layered the silverware cut over that. The recipe is of my favorite homemade BBQ sauce.

sical effect. I inked the centers of each flower and each color represents a different thought - peace, love, dreams, happiness..

Lately we've noticed some new friends in our neighborhood. A family of bunnies has moved in. I used Chris's Silhouette Bunnies with Sparkle file found here. You can't tell from the pictures, but I cut them on sparkle paper. I added two prisma flowers with rhinestones in the center. Added a title, some journaling, and some clover background paper.

4th of July layout using Chris Durnan's files

Our Fourth of July was pretty low key this year. Stephen was under the weather, so we missed the organized festivities. We made a flag cake and that night, Stephen set off the fireworks we bought. I used Chris's Stars: Jumble, Borders, Corners, Swirls file found here. Lots and lots of value in this one!

mini album with Chris Durnan's files

After a lady hit hubby's motorcycle and crushed the rear fender, he decided to have it completely repainted. I thought I'd make a mini album showing all the work he had to do to put it back together. I used several of Chris's files, which can be found here:

I cut the back tabs off the album and bound it with my Bind It All. I use a rubber stamp for the track pattern, then layered flames and gears under the pictures. I double cut the front and back from regular cardstock and glued them together to make a little sturdier cover for the album, since I don't know how careful hubby will be with it, showing off his pride and joy to his friends.

This is another really versatile file. It's Chris's Cookie Sweet Pack and you can find it here. This is my favorite cookie recipe, so I wanted a page to put in my recipe book. I love the way the title on the cookie board cuts.

This file was included in last quarter's QMC. You can find Chris's current QMC here. This is a layout of my dad, who has been gone 10 years now. I didn't want to detract from the photo, so I put a subtle pattern paper on top of a red background, and matted the photo with red.
